ERIC ROSENBERG – GRAPHIC DESIGN & PHOTOSHOP FOR FILM & TV
In my role as a feature film's Graphic Designer I create items for Set Decoration, Props,
and Wardrobe that play within the film. This includes everything from signs, logos, billboards,
posters, book jackets, magazine covers, to wallpaper and textiles and carpet patterns.
Over the past 18 years I've designed for films of all periods, past, present and future. In addition
to graphic design I also work extensively in Photoshop, both in visualization of sets and artwork,
as well as photo composites and retouching of actor's images.

I've been a member of the Art Directors Guild, IATSE Local 800 since 1992.
I reside in Los Angeles, California and am available for local or distant location work.
Inquiries about projects outside of the film industry are always welcome.
Prior to working on motion pictures I spent 5 years in New York designing for magazines such as
Business Week, Personal Computing, and Us Weekly.
CURRENT & RECENT PROJECTS:August 14: I've recently finished working on this film for HBO, an account of the making of the first reality television show, "An American" Family", one year spent following the Louds of Santa Barbara. It was filmed in 1971 and aired on PBS in 1973. The film stars Diane Lane (who worked the very first props I ever created in "My New Gun"), Tim Robbins (star of my first film as a staffer, "The Hudsucker Proxy"), James Gandolfini and Patrick Fugit (star of one of my favorite films and work experiences, " "Almost Famous"). The film is being directed by the team of Shari Springer-Berman and Robert Pulcini, who made the acclaimed "American Splendor" a few years ago.
CRAZY, STUPID LOVEApril 21: I've wrapped up a short stint on a new Steve Carell romantic comedy at Warner Bros. studios. The film is the second feature to be directed by Glenn Ficarra & John Requa.
DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS
January 10, 2010: I've just finished working on this Jay Roach directed comedy starring Steve Carell, Paul Rudd
and Zack Galifianakis. It's release date is set for July 30, 2010. The trailer is out now and may be viewed at:

A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE GRAPHIC DESIGN SOFTWARE I USE:
I'd like to note that I do all my graphic design work with the very best vector art program devised to date, FreeHand.
FreeHand has a long history, launched in the late 1980's by Aldus, it was acquired in the mid-1990's by Macromedia,
and is now owned by Adobe. As Adobe's vector art program is Illustrator and the two applications were always in
competition, the company has ceased to support FreeHand for the past five years, offering no updates for it's
thousands of users worldwide (even as it still offers the application for sale!). Fortunately it still works on current
Mac operating systems, but the question is for how long?
At present here is a movement afoot to have Adobe either update FreeHand or release it to the open source community.
Those interested in this cause should visit FreeFreeHand.org for more information or to sign up and show your support!
